"All that we are is the result of what we have thought.
The mind is everything. What we think we become”
Buddha

It is true that the power of our minds is what we need to achieve change, and the mind is more powerful than we realise. NLP, coaching, Time Line Therapy™ techniques and hypnotherapy provide us with the tools to set our goals, overcome the obstacles and barriers, and achieve our full potential.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) provides a set of concepts and tools which allow us to understand how we perceive the world around us and how our minds process those perceptions. By doing this, we can then understand the processes that we follow to achieve what we achieve each day, whether the results are what we want or not. If we want to change what we achieve, because we know that we can do better, we can learn to change the processes, setting new directions with new goals and better outcomes. NLP brings together the power of language, the power of understanding how the brain works, and the power of the link between the unconscious and conscious mind. And with this power, we can effect great change. All we have to do is want it.

Time Line Therapy™ techniques are effective techniques for dealing with powerful emotions such as anger, sadness, fear, hurt and guilt, as well as addressing limiting decisions, such as not being good enough or deserving of success. Time Line Therapy™ techniques can also be used to address phobias. The techniques allow us to discover the root cause of the emotions, limiting beliefs or phobias, learn from the causes and reframe the learnings into something positive and forward-looking. The techniques guide us from the root cause to the present, letting go of what held us back each time we experienced the emotion, limiting belief or phobia, and let us approach similar situations in the future with nothing holding us back.

Hypnosis is an altered state of consciousness, where the conscious mind is supressed, allowing us to access the unconscious mind directly. Far from being an artificial state, it is a state we often find ourselves in; that state just before we fully wake up or fall asleep, that state that allows us to drive for many miles and then wonder how we got there, that state which allows us to suspend reality and enjoy a film. By following instructions and entering into trance, our unconscious mind will accept new ideas and messages which allow us to make changes that we are ready to make. Our unconscious mind will, though, keep us safe, letting us do what we are ready to do and stopping us from doing what we are not. Importantly, hypnosis can reinforce the messages and beliefs that we have consciously agreed to accept.

We sometimes know what we want to change and, therefore, where we want to be. There are, though, times when we are aware that where we are now can be better and we are just not sure how. Either way, a coach can work with you to support you as you establish exactly where you want to be - your end goal - and the steps that you want to take to get there. A coach will ask you questions, challenge your answers so you can be sure that you are going in the right direction, and explore with you what worked well and what you could have done differently. A coach will draw out your skills for you to see, working with you so that you can use your existing strengths and develop new ones. Above all else, a coach will support you objectively and empathetically, so that you can achieve what you want to achieve. You know when you are ready to take the first step, you know you are worth more and you definitely know that life can be better.
